I felt the Angel with me Today

I felt the Angel
I felt the angel’s feathered wings wrapped securely about my soul
As I wandered outward and saw my footprints in the snow,
But the angel did not leave me, nor I it’s loving embrace,
Instead it followed me undauntingly and kept up my manic pace,
It soothed my inner soul, it cooed and spoke so softly
That others all about me could not hear the whisperings from the spirit so lofty
It told me of a purpose, it told me of a plan
And never did it leave me or let go of my hand,
I needed its warm comfort, its tender touch so dearly
And the angel seemed to know that I was falling quite fiercly.

Yet no one else seemed to notice, the humans so self claimed wise
But the angel that wrapped me tightly knew what was inside,
It spoke of times a coming where I would feel no more pain and strife
It spoke to me of a moment when I would receive eternal life
Then it gave me visions, so vividly clear and precise
I could not doubt its relevance and my plummet to the vice
Of all mankind and unbelievers and how they will forget
That the Promise was for all mankind but they have a different mindset

How beautiful was its high-pitched voice,
And it gave me quite a choice,
To listen to my inner self and follow the path I’m given
Or listen to the world at large and forget about my mansion in heaven
So I chose to listen to the voice and follow the narrow path.

But so few understand or see what the angel predicted is coming
Annihilation, destruction and strife, as the drums of war are drumming,
The people have become so hardhearted, judgmental and untouched
By the WORD or by the angels although they try so much
Awakening the world they attempt each day
To the travesties and horrors they see in so many ways,
Yet the drummers keep on drumming
And the marchers keep on coming…
What is an angel to do?
But walk with me and you
And remind us of the mansion of peace and grace,
Lest we forget that special place,
That awaits us, warm in angel’s wings
I hear and will remember all these things.
